Originally from Eritrea but raised in London, I used to have difficulty in believing myself and it was not until I graduated that I became a bit more confident. When I was seeking personal development and career help I applied to Migrant Leaders because I had met Elham personally and I really l enjoyed the ethos and meaning behind Migrant Leaders. I believed gaining a mentor from Migrant Leaders would be beneficial for me. My conversations with my mentor have given me the confidence and self-awareness to identify my career and personal ambitions and plan how to achieve them. I now have skills that help me form positive professional relationships and the ability to make my voice heard. My mentor and I have made more plans to discuss my career goals which are ultimately to work on United Nations’ humanitarian or sustainability projects.
